Why
should I choose True Sound Productions when other entertainment
companies provide similar services, sometimes at a lower
price?
Simply,
QUALITY. You will receive the best talent money can
buy, backed by our second to none customer service.
We have never had a customer request their money back
due to poor performance. Our entertainers must meet
our very stringent performance expectations to perform
for our company. Also when our entertainers / technicians
join our staff they are placed though many training
sessions, teaching them the ins and outs of our services.
We
are not in business because we provide the cheapest
entertainment, it’s because we provide the best
in entertainment VALUE!
Why
is it that so many entertainment companies have such
a variance in price?
You
will encounter a borage of prices which usually depend
on factors like; How much experience a entertainer has;
Are you in a rural area versus a big city; What the
entertainer will do for you aside from just playing
music. Some entertainers have a flat rate, some charge
by the hour. A general price range for a weekend DJ
is from $400.00 to $3000.00. Some people might think:
"Hmm, my neighbor's teenage Son has DJ equipment.
I'll just hire him and save a bundle." That's fine
if you don't want your reception to be organized, or
have a diverse music selection and the necessary and
proper announcements made. "Yeah, but anyone can
spin a CD." True, but that is the easy part. Choosing
the right songs at the right time, continuously, is
not all that easy.
What many people refuse to realize is that not all DJs
know how to successfully conduct an event. DJs are not
identical products either. So, shopping for the best
price will usually reflect on the quality of service
and knowledge of the entertainer, to say the least.
Imagine it's your wedding reception at 10:00 PM and
you haven't had your special dances, cut the cake or
tossed the garter and bouquet. Your guests are bored
and starting to leave. Now, it's too late. The cost-efficient
DJ you hired just ruined one of the most important days
of your life. Even worse, some "new in the business"
DJs actually charge as much as a seasoned professional.
They did some research, found that people will pay good
money for a wedding DJ and they want a slice of that
pie. Now, you've spent $500.00 - $1300.00 for someone
who has about as much experience as the neighbor's teenager.
Which cost would you rather incur, paying $400.00 for
a "hobbiest" DJ, or paying $1000.00 for a
knowledgeable, professional wedding DJ who makes your
wedding a success?
"How do I tell the difference between a professional
and an amateur?" You should always meet your entertainer
before issuing any deposits. A professional entertainer
will ask you important questions and get know you. Not,
schmooze you to death, or the opposite, be pompous and
arrogant like you owe them the world for inquiring about
their service. An amateur DJ will be most concentrated
on the music. If you are conducting interviews for wedding
entertainment, pay attention to what questions each
of the DJs ask. If you like a particular DJ because
of certain comments or ideas they mentioned, then that
DJ should be your choice.
Some entertainment services send a packet with a commercial
of their entertainment options. If the commercial does
not include real event footage of the actual DJ at work,
(speaking to the audience, not just rehearsed out-takes
and stock footage of music playing and people dancing),
then question who this person is that will be your DJ.
You may not know their level of professionalism until
you see and talk to them face-to-face. Will you even
get to meet the DJ, or is there a gatekeeper that you
go through to book the entertainer? This is also a great
way to witness the personality type of your prospective
entertainer. What are the company's policies? Many entertainers
believe that they are paid to party. This can alter
their professionalism when alcohol is available at your
event.
When you are planning a event, the choice of entertainment
will make or break your special event. Here are some
post-event statistics you might find interesting:
